Indian politics have stooped to such a low that in a broad day light, politicians, power brokers or Madaris have made a open fun of Indian democracy and people who voted. It is much worst than killing or cheating as these guys have no shame in openly cheating the common people who have stood in lines, voted for some or the other party of their choice and upheld the democracy and constitution of the nation. Its becoming well proven fact that politicians do not care for a common man who stood in lines for hours together for voting and expect some work in his neighborhood for better living. The ultimate goal for these politicians is to grab the chair and power irrespective of the ethics and ethos of the election and promises they made to pubic before elections. The recent trends happening in Maharashtra for government formation, earlier episodes in Karnataka and resort politics adopted in almost all the states for protecting their party MLA’s or MP’s jumping to other proves again and again that Indian political system and election procedures need to rewritten in the constitution.
If we have to accept this mockery every now and then in Indian elections and tolerate these kind of politicians irrespective of the parties. Then why to arrest cheaters, criminals and fraudsters as they are no less or more to the above people who have made a fun of Indian electorate population. Why cant we make Political reforms which is the prime cause for all the destruction happening. Political, Judicial and police reforms are the need of the hour and immediately need attention, these three are the major pillars of running the nation and in India. No party wants these three reforms to happen as it suits to their needs and wants and they have made the system hollow from inside. People of India have just become a mere spectators in all these political dramas every year.
People of Maharashtra and the nation should realize that all these guys have given more importance to the chief minister post and power than the people of Maharashtra who stood and voted for democracy. What a shame for our nation that they have voted for these power mongerers who don’t care about common man. One party Shivsena had proved that post is more important than friends, relations, hindutva and principles on which the founder Mr. Bal Thakrey established the party. One party BJP had proven that giving and sharing power will not lower them or their esteem but rather increase their image in public. One party NCP who is playing a role of Madari to grab his share and one anti national party had proven again and again that one dynasty acceptance and decision is the only truth people have to believe in. We don’t see common man/ women anywhere in these discussions, people should wake up and change their prejudice mindset that voting should be done based on performance, history, promises and reforms rather than money, mockery and speeches.
India is always on election mode every year, either its the state elections, central elections, local elections or the panchayat elections. This nation had been made into a country in which elections have become the way of living and people have to face it regularly. This mockery in the name of democracy needs to be stopped on urgent basis or else we shall just spend huge amounts of money on elections every year and politicians, power brokers, financiers for these elections will try to recover all the money spent for power. This cycle is going on and is adding huge loss to exchequer and creating imbalance in the Socio-economic structure of this nation. Hope the voters and Indian public start a momentum for bringing change in Political system and fight for reforms.
